Current Experience

General Manager, Goldfire Product Line

S&P Global & IHS Markit (Merged) │ Denver, CO

2019 - Current

Leader responsible for all aspects of Goldfire, an Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning Natural Language Processing (AI/ML NLP) search engine used by Fortune 500 engineering firms across the globe. I oversaw a comprehensive transformation of the product line's business model which entailed realigning sales, delivery, and operational teams to a subscription service approach combined with providing enduring value through embedded professional services. The outcome has been the establishment of a growing revenue stream and has positioned the product to be the cornerstone of the division's growth strategy.

Recognition of this work led to more division centric engagements, including driving a top-to-bottom business model transformation. This effort focused on baselining the current state to create findings & perspectives that were then directionally sized against revenue and cost impact. Led an aggressive transformation & optimization program with the rest of the leadership team to realign a $400M business to the market.

Played a pivotal role in orchestrating the integration of our division as part of the S&P Global & IHS Markit merger. More recently, I actively contributed as a leading member of the steering committee responsible for divesting the division from S&P Global, facilitating its transition into a newly formed entity, Accuris, under the ownership of KKR.

Over the course of my tenure, I've cultivated a forward-looking culture among both my direct and indirect teams, emphasizing three key principles: profitability, predictability, and sustainability.

Previous Experience

Director of Professional Services
Director of Integrations (MA&I)

Synoptek & Critigen (Acquired) │ Denver, CO

2013 - 2018

Led the Professional Services department at a "growth through acquisition" national Managed Service Provider with $100 million annual revenue. Engaged by the CEO to spearhead the development, communication, construction, training, and long-term support of a new charter for 5 team leads and 25 staff.

A significant focus during my tenure was the transformation of the department's engagement model, shifting it from passive order-taking to trusted strategic partners. This endeavor involved a comprehensive training and staffing program, resulting in the creation of new billable virtual/fractional CIO teams.

Furthermore, I introduced a customer retention strategy that empowered our Consulting leaders to proactively identify at-risk accounts and collaborate closely with clients to develop, execute, and sustain partnership plans, increasing customer satisfaction and reducing churn.

I played a crucial role in instilling a culture of active listening and opportunity identification, emphasizing a sales-oriented approach. This involved a programmatic approach to understanding and driving opportunities further up the value chain and incentivizing up-sells and cross-sell campaigns.

Additionally, in my capacity as the leader of the Integration Management Office, I played a pivotal role in managing five acquisitions. Notably, two of these acquisitions individually doubled the organization's revenue and staff. In this role, I was responsible for the business, staffing, and technical integration, contributing significantly to our transformation from a mid-market regional player into a thriving player at the national level.

Management and Technology Consultant

JM Consulting, 2004 - 2013 │ Denver, CO

Provided vision and leadership in the development and implementation high-level/value programs for multiple companies to define and focus market strategies, streamline processes, and recognize growth opportunities for optimizing effectiveness and cost efficiencies. Marquee engagements include:

o  Sprint Mobile: 4G rollout. Over twenty different technology and budgetary stakeholders were identified during the project, all of which were "won over" to the project through direct personal interaction and relationship building.

o  Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME): Brought on to rescue a stalled web presence project involving all the CME's core business units - each independently operated. Required achieving consensus from executive management in each business unit, inserting and managing teams in each unit, and driving a multi-faceted effort across a wide array of stakeholders to a successful conclusion.

Vice President (VP) of IT/IS

IP Silver, 2008 - 2010 │ Denver, CO

Third startup either founded or co-founded. This one was a professional services firm focusing on virtual server and virtual desktop integration (VDI) - $2.25M in revenue by year 2.
